ChatVote 2020: Qualifiers revealed, final voting begins!
Following two nights of preview video viewing, live voting and opening of virtual envelopes in the chat, the semi-final qualifiers that will compete in our ChatVote 2020 final are now known!
Semi 1 qualifiers: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, North Macedonia, Norway, Israel, Russia.
Semi 2 qualifiers: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland.
Big thanks to everyone who attended and voted! And this means the lines are now open for your final votes.
As you’ll know if you read our launch article, we’re doing a stripped-down version of ChatVote this year, which means no “televoting” like you’ve become familiar with recently – all that counts are your jury votes like in the good old days. And we’re now ready and waiting to receive them by e-mail!
Simply send your votes in ESC style (12, 10, 8…) to vote@escgo.com by no later than 23:59 CEST on Saturday 25 April. Please note that we can only accept votes from people we know to be #esc chatters, so do include your chat nickname in your e-mail in case of any doubt. You can also use the submission form at the bottom of this article to submit your jury votes! Either way, do check your e-mail for confirmation and get in touch with us if you don’t hear back from us about your votes.
Then, if you can, join us in the chat at 20:00 CEST on Sunday 26 April for our streamlined grand final voting presentation. There will, of course, still be an interactive element – we’ll be asking all the chatters in attendance to tell us who got their 12 points, as an indicator of how things might look at the top of the scoreboard. We’ll then proceed with revealing the full final result, from 26th right up to the winner of ChatVote 2020!
You can see the full list of finalists below, and there’s a playlist in case you need a reminder of the songs.
