Ten more qualifiers for Saturday, final running order revealed
The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over! Ten more songs have qualified, and now that the line-up of Saturday’s grand final is complete, the EBU has announced the final running order.
The ten new qualifiers are:
Israel: IMRI – I Feel Alive
Israel’s third male solo singer in a row = Israel’s third final qualification in a row.
Belarus: Naviband – Story of My Life
Belarusian joins the club of the languages to have appeared in a Eurovision grand final.
Austria: Nathan Trent – Running on Air
Austria is in the final for the fourth year in a row, although that includes 2015, when it was automatically qualified as the host nation and ended up with 0 points.
The Netherlands: O’G3NE – Lights and Shadows
The fourth Dutch qualification in five years. Just like Austria, the Netherlands are definitely back in the game.
Hungary: Joci Pápai – Origo
Hungary maintains its 100% qualification record ever since returning to the contest in 2011.
Denmark: Anja Nissen – Where I Am
Denmark ditches the boybands and is back in the final.
Croatia: Jacques Houdek – My Friend
A country with a patchy record in the two-semi era, Croatia now have back-to-back qualifications for the first time since 2009.
Norway: JOWST – Grab The Moment
Norway returns to the final after missing out last year for only the third time since the semi-final was introduced.
Romania: Ilinca & Alex Florea
Dida Drăgan (1993) remains the first and only Romanian entrant to fail to qualify for the Eurovision final in the course of a televised live show.
Kristian Kostov – Beautiful Mess
The first Eurovision artist to have been born in the new millennium keeps Bulgaria’s success story going.
The 26 finalists will compete in the following order:
1. Israel: IMRI – I Feel Alive
