SongHunt 2017 finalist presentation: “Statements” by Loreen

by | May 13, 2017 | SongHunt

Loreen could be in Kyiv now, representing Sweden with her song “Statements”. But our SongHunt rules only allow songs that didn’t win their national finals, but got a lot of love in our Eurovision chat. This love took the song to the heats, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and now it’s one of the twelve candidates in the grand SongHunt final. What is SongHunt about, you may wonder? Well, for those who don’t know already: It’s about finding the best national final song of the Eurovision season!

From Melodifestivalen to SongHunt

Back on 4 March, “Statements” competed in the Swedish second chance round “Andra Chansen”, in which eight entries went head-to-head in four duels. ESC 2012 winner Loreen lost her duel against Anton Hagman, and so didn’t qualify for the Melodifestivalen final. Furthermore, she wouldn’t normally be in SongHunt if it wasn’t for the massive help that her song got in our Last Chance PollFive songs made it from Melodifestivalen to the SongHunt final, and the penultimate song we are presenting in this series is indeed:

Loreen – Statements

Watch the song below, and and if you like it, you might want to give it a vote in our SongHunt poll further down the page! Or maybe you like one of the other entries more? Whatever your choice, you can vote once in each 24-hour period. For full details, see our main post about the SongHunt final.
