UMK (Uuden musiikin kilpailu) starts tonight with its first show. There will be five weekly shows on Fridays, plus the national final that will be held on Saturday, 25 February.
The new Finnish format is expected to be a mix of a music and reality show. Tonight will see the revelation of the 12 acts who will proceed to the next stages of the preselection. Besides that, the audience will choose a wildcard entrant out of three further singers.
