In the first show of the new Finnish preselection format, 12 participants for UMK (Uuden musiikin kilpailu) were revealed. The show was an introduction to the artists and songs that were sent into the contest and the way the professional jury selected the actual qualifiers from them. Three further entries were presented, from which the audience can choose 1 wildcard entry that will make the list of participants complete. From next week on, these 13 participants actually have to sing.
