Eurovision season 2011 officially started

by | Jan 19, 2011 | Uncategorized

With the handing over of the keys in Düsseldorf, Germany, the new ESC season officially started yesterday. The event, that also featured the allocation draw of the semi finals, was hosted by Judith Rakers, speaker of german news show “Tagesschau” and member of the upcoming ESC host trio.

The 56th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place on 10, 12 and 14 May 2011. It will be the 3rd time that the show is hosted in Germany, after Frankfurt 1957 and Munich 1983.

Delegations from 43 participating countries will be expected in the fashion and lifestyle city at the Rhine river. Among them there are the returners Italy, Austria, San Marino and Hungary. Slovakia decided to take part after lots of to-ing and fro-ing!

Already a couple of days ago, the logo and theme art 2011 got revealed, and since we began to adapt the official slogan for ours back in 2010, our new slogan (“Feel Your Thingy Beat!”) got introduced as well!

The official ESC website eurovision.tv got relaunched today with a new design.

See you in the chat for lots of votings and exciting Super Saturdays (mark your calendars for 12th and 26th of February)!
