Eirodziesma 2012 kicks off tonight with the first of two semi-finals. 10 contestants will perform their entries, and five of them will be the lucky ones to proceed to the Latvian Final on Saturday, 18 February. The voting is expected to be made up of 50% televoting and 50% juries.
The second semi-final will take place on 14 January. Five more entries will be selected for the final in Ventspils, making a total of 10 finalists.
