“Unser Star für Baku” begins tonight with the first out of seven heats before the final on 16 February. The selection format will roughly follow the 2010 scheme of “Unser Star für Oslo”. New is the jury which will remain constant throughout all the shows this time, featuring the new president Thomas D., along with Stefan Raab and Alina Süggeler. 10 contestants will compete tonight, five of them will be the lucky ones to proceed to the next stage on 26 January, where they will be joined by the qualifiers of the second heat (next week). The televoting will feature another novelty, as the results will be shown and updated throughout the whole competition.
