Unser Star Für Baku comes to its end tonight, with the German final being aired on Das Erste (ARD). Two candidates are left from the original 20: Ornella de Santis, the outsider, and Roman Lob, the favourite. But how will the selection process work?
Four songs were selected for the show. Two songs will be sung by both candidates, with a different arrangement in each case. Then each candidate has one “individual” song that only he/she will sing, meaning that each will perform three songs in total. Afterwards, televoting decides which song fits best to Ornella, and which one fits best to Roman. In the end, the audience will decide between these two “winner songs” – and this will be the German entry for Baku.
