The #esc chat is getting its own weekly charts!

Starting from 4th December, you will be able to vote for your current favourite Eurovision-related songs. Every Tuesday, we will run a new poll featuring your favourite songs of the previous week and up to three new suggestions.

And you get to choose the songs that are voted on! For the first edition, you can submit as many suggestions as you want – after that, the amount of songs that one can submit within a week will be limited. Songs can be from any year – old favourites and new discoveries are equally welcome. The only limitation is that they must be entries from ESC itself, from a national final (or semi-final thereof), or JESC.

However, for the first edition in three weeks from now, we will need a total of ten song suggestions to get us started – so don’t be afraid, go ahead and nominate your current favourite songs here!

How the charts “work”

It’s simple: Every week, you can vote for up to three songs in a multiple-choice poll. Songs that don’t get enough votes will run the risk of falling out of the charts and being replaced.

But that’s not all: We’ll keep a record of every weekly chart and come up with a “Chart of the Year” that shows the songs our community loved the most during the upcoming 12 months!

Our goal

This is not like a typical online fan contest where people submit a song and take part in a competition. Our only aim is to have a bit of fun by measuring the “taste” of the chat community and seeing what they’re listening to and loving in any given week.

As the charts will be created by #esc users and for #esc users, your involvement is crucial to the project – and we hope you’ll join in the fun.
