It’s hard to know whether to call tonight a “Super Saturday” in the conventional sense of the phrase – after all, rather unusually for this time of year, no countries are selecting their entry for ESC 2013 today. But it still promises to be a busy evening of stream-juggling for fans of the contest, so let’s stick with the label and take a look at what’s happening!
By the end of the night, we will have heard the home entry for the 2013 contest, as the last semi-final of Melodifestivalen takes place in Sweden. Meanwhile, following three heats in the previous weeks, Hungary’s A Dal selection process enters its penultimate phase, while Estonia’s Eesti Laul continues with the second of two semi-finals.
The only new country entering the game is Romania, whose national selection kicks off with a double-header of semi-finals tonight and tomorrow.
