The line-up for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest comes ever closer to completion tonight as Sweden and Romania select their entries.
This year’s Melodifestivalen process in Sweden has thrown up some surprising results and, more importantly for broadcaster SVT, some huge viewing figures. If the bookmakers are right, tonight’s final will be a straight fight between Yohio and Ralf Gyllenhammar – but with international juries holding 50% of the power, anything is possible.
Meanwhile, two semi-finals have produced the twelve finalists in Romania, who include 2005 representative Luminita Anghel and not one but two men with surprisingly high-pitched voices.
