The Serbian broadcaster RTS has announced that the country’s national final for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Saturday, 14 February, when the winning song will be selected by televoting.
As previously announced, three songs will compete in the preselection, all of them written by Vladimir Graić – the man responsible for the ESC 2007 winner “Molitva” (although his last ESC effort, Slovenia’s 2012 entry “Verjamem”, enjoyed rather less success).
The search for the performers is still underway. So far, it has been announced that newcomer Danica Krstić will perform one of the songs, while another will be given to Bojana Stamenov, known to the local television audience for her participation in Ja imam talenat!, the Serbian version of the …Got Talent franchise. The third song will be performed by an as yet unknown male artist.
Serbia returns to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 after taking a one-year break following Moje 3’s failure to reach the grand final in Malmö in 2013.
