Wer singt für Österreich? is the question that has been asked on Austrian television for the last few Friday nights – and tonight, the race to find the host country’s representative at ESC 2015 steps up a gear with a semi-final show that includes actual ESC candidate songs for the first time.
The programme this evening is another pre-recorded show (something that broadcaster ORF might be glad about, considering the live drama in last night’s German final!). The six remaining artists will each perform two potential ESC entries, with the voting entirely in the hands of the expert jury. The favoured entry for each act will go forward to next week’s final, which – for the first time in the process – will be a live broadcast with public televoting in addition to a jury vote.
You can find all the details of tonight’s show in the tabs on the right-hand side. Further down, you can toggle between “Today” and “Calendar” view.
Don’t forget to join us in the #esc chat, where we’ll be watching, talking about and voting on the show.
Providing they are performed in full, tonight’s songs will also compete to qualify for our own SongHunt. The scores given to each song by our chatters will have an influence on which songs will qualify for the next heat, to be launched on Sunday night.
