Slovenia’s broadcaster RTVSlo has revealed the details of this year’s EMA (Evrovizijska Melodija).
The date for the final is Saturday, 28 February. A total of 12 songs will compete, of which half will be chosen from submissions and half will be sung by invited acts.
In the show, the jury will narrow the selection down to two songs. This will be followed by a superfinal in which the televoters will pick the winner.
At the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, the Slovenian entry (“Round And Round” by Tinkara Kovač) only scored a 25th place out of 26 entries – although, in doing so, it did mark the country’s first Saturday night appearance since 2011.
