Ten countries qualify from semi-final 1
The first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over – and ten songs have qualified for the grand final on Saturday. These are:
Moldova: Sunstroke Project – Hey Mamma
“Epic Sax Guy” is back, and takes the country to the final after three unsuccessful years.
In the final on Saturday, Moldova will perform in the first half
Azerbaijan: Dihaj – Skeletons
Azerbaijan keeps its 100% qualification record.
In the final on Saturday, Azerbaijan will perform in the first half.
Greece: Demy – This Is Love
Greece is back to the final after last year’s miss.
In the final on Saturday, Greece will perform in the second half.
Sweden: Robin Bengtsson – I Can’t Go On
Sweden can go on, and is in the final for the seventh year in a row.
In the final on Saturday, Sweden will perform in the second half.
Portugal: Salvador Sobral – Amar pelos dois
Portugal’s first qualification since 2010, when Filipa Azevedo represented the country with “Há dias assim“.
In the final on Saturday, Portugal will perform in the first half.
Poland: Kasia Moś – Flashlight
Poland keeps its 100% qualification record since returning to the contest in 2014.
In the final on Saturday, Poland will perform in the first half.
Armenia: Artsvik – Fly With Me
Armenia has missed the final only once: In 2011, when Emmy sang “Boom Boom”.
In the final on Saturday, Armenia will perform in the first half.
Australia: Isaiah – Don’t Come Easy
Australia’s success story at Eurovision continues as once again, the land “Down Under” will be in the final.
In the final on Saturday, Australia will perform in the second half.
Cyprus: Hovig – Gravity
Cyprus makes it to the final for the third year in succession.
In the final on Saturday, Cyprus will perform in the second half.
Belgium: Blanche – City Lights
Belgium has been rather successful recently, and this year doesn’t seem to be any exception after all.
In the final on Saturday, Belgium will perform in the second half.
