Norway feeds Margaret Berger with 102,032 points

102,032: that’s the number of points – mostly televotes – it took to win Melodi Grand Prix on Saturday night.

“I Feed You My Love” by electro-pop singer Margaret Berger is the song that will sail under the Norwegian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest in May.

Following three hotly contested semi-finals in previous weeks, ten entries lined up to compete for the honour to represent the Nordic nation. Berger was the fourth and final entrant to get the much-desired ticket for the “Gold Final”, together with Adelén (“Bombo”), Annsofi (“I’m With You”) and Sirkus Eliassen (“I Love You Te Quiero”).

In the end, the dark power ballad with electro elements attracted more votes than the other three remaining entrants, and the final result – consisting of three juries, one in each of the semi-final host towns, plus the far larger national televote – was as follows:

1. Margaret Berger – I Feed You My Love (102,032 points)
2. Adelén – Bombo (59,414)
3. Sirkus Eliassen – I Love You Te Quiero (41,447)
4. Annsofi – I’m With You (31,226)

Norway will compete in the second half of the second semi-final of ESC 2013, to be held on May 16th.
