Georgia: Another “Warrior” for ESC 2015!

by | Jan 14, 2015 | Uncategorized

Georgia has selected its entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest! Nina Sublatti will represent the Caucasian nation in Vienna with “Warrior”, making it the second song with this title to have been chosen so far (the Maltese entry being the first).

In a short national final show, clips of the five competing entries were shown and the host interviewed the participating artists. This was followed by the votes of the international jury, who favoured Nina and “Warrior”, and the announcement that the combined jury/public vote had come to the same conclusion.

We had a decent turnout in the chat considering the final was being held in the early afternoon CET, and our chatters agreed with the Georgian vote, placing “Warrior” top of the pile with an average score of 7.00 out of 10. Nina’s only real competition in the chat vote came from Eter Berashvili, with the other entries getting substantially lower average scores.

Georgia finished last in their semi-final at ESC 2014 with The Shin & Mariko’s “Three Minutes To Earth”, so Nina Sublatti will be hoping to return her country to the grand final in Vienna in May.
