Norway wins ChatVote 2013!

by | Apr 28, 2013 | Uncategorized

Norway has won the annual #esc ChatVote for 2013. Margaret Berger’s “I Feed You My Love” took victory ahead of bookies’ favourite Denmark and the surprise package of the competition, Hungary, whose “Kedvesem” finished third. Ireland and Ryan Dolan landed in last place after being overtaken by Spain right at the end of the voting.

Following two competitive semi-finals (with notable casualties including Russia and Georgia) and several enjoyable “preview nights” in the chat, a total of 24 #esc regulars cast their votes on our finalists, thereby continuing a tradition that dates back to 2005. As the ChatVote history shows, sometimes we’re in tune with the wider European taste – voting for Loreen in 2012 and Lena in 2010, for example – and sometimes we prefer the fan hypes that don’t do so well at ESC. Time will tell which category Margaret Berger falls into!

The full scoreboard is shown below:

As a new feature this year, we introduced a dynamic scoreboard that updated after every set of votes – and that also showed the many faces of our voters. Thanks to all of them for their continued support and attendance, which makes ChatVote one of the annual highlights for the #esc community!
