The home entry at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will be “I Am Yours” by the Makemakes!
The band triumphed in tonight’s Austrian national final, Wer singt für Österreich?, which saw the six remaining participants from the previous weeks each singing one song. A combined international jury and domestic televote selected the Makemakes and Dawa as the superfinalists, after which a 100% televote picked the winner – which didn’t come as much of a surprise considering the former had already been announced as the public’s favourite in the first round.
Meanwhile, in the #esc chat, our clear favourite was “Quel filou” by Zoe with an average score of 7.53 out of 10.
As the defending champion, Austria is automatically qualified for the grand final of ESC 2015. You can see the home entry below:
