Lithuania will hold its national selection for ESC 2015 using the same system as last year. To keep the introduction to this format as short as possible, let’s say that the Baltic country will search for its song and its artist more or less independently. However, at some point it will have to become clear who will sing which song – and this will most likely happen in the second final (yes, there will be two: one for the artist and one for the song).
Irrespective of such format complications, what we know for sure is that there will be eight televised shows in January and February, on the following dates:
Saturday, 3 January: Show 1
Saturday, 10 January: Show 2
Saturday, 17 January: Show 3
Saturday, 24 January: Show 4
Saturday, 7 February: Show 5
Saturday, 14 February: Show 6
Saturday, 21 February: Show 7
Saturday, 28 February: Show 8 (expected to be a final)
Last May in Copenhagen, the Lithuanian entrant Vilija Matačiūnaitė failed to reach the final with her song Attention.
