Elhaida Dani, winner of the latest Festivali i Këngës, announced on her Facebook page yesterday that Diell will not be the Albanian entry for Vienna anymore.
Apparently, the composer of the song has withdrawn his permission for Diell to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, Elhaida stated that she will sing a different entry to represent her country in Austria.
Today, Albanian broadcaster RTSH confirmed the news and revealed the title of the new song: “I’m Alive“, written by Zzap and Chris.
This is the first time in Albania’s Eurovision history that the country’s entry isn’t the winner of the traditional Festivali i Këngës.
