There’s a new name on the list of Eurovision winners, and the contest is heading to Bulgaria next year! Congratulations to DARA and her song “Bangaranga”.
The full results of the grand final were as follows:

While there is a lot that could be said in analysing the results and their repercussions, to use a phrase alluded to by the hosts last night, it’s very much “the same procedure as last year” on that front. So rather than going over old ground, let’s stick with the basic facts for now: This is the first time that the juries and the public have agreed on the winner since Salvador Sobral in 2017, which contributed to Bulgaria’s runaway victory in the overall totals – and, very pleasingly, the winning song was one that really hadn’t featured in the betting odds until very close to the show itself. That’s about as near to a “surprise winner” Ă la Tanel & Dave or Marie N that we can reasonably expect in 2026, and it’s great to have one again.
So with that said, let’s sign off our ESC 2026 coverage on escgo! with a reprise of the winning song, and here’s to next year in Sofia!
